Season Start Date

First Practice: Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Location: Shelton High School Auxiliary Gym

• Mats roll out at 5:15 PM

• Warm-ups start promptly at 5:30 PM

• Practice Times:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:30 – 6:45 PM

  • Littles (age 7 & under): 5:30 – 6:15 PM in the wrestling room (entrance next to the football field)

Note: Wrestlers must attend one practice that week to participate in dual meets.

Tournament Team Info (Advanced Wrestlers Only)

If you’re opting for the Tournament Team instead of Duals:

• Practice Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday

• Practice Time: 5:30 – 7:30 PM

• No dual meets – this team competes in tournaments only

• Intended for more advanced wrestlers ready for a faster pace and higher expectations
  
  Important: This team is selective. Wrestlers must demonstrate hard work, strong fundamentals, and be a good partner. If they cannot meet expectations, they will be asked to move to the Dual Team.

Extra Fee: $40 for a custom singlet

Registration Fees

• $80 per wrestler

  If needed, please indicate it on your registration form—a board member will reach out.

Currently, there are no multi-child discounts. But we will not let finances prevent a child from wrestling. Please ask for help if needed.

How to sign up for USA Wrestling Membership (Required Before Registering)

All wrestlers must have a valid USA Wrestling (USAW) membership before registering.

How to Get a USAW Membership:

1. Visit USAWmembership.com

2. Create an account or log into your existing account

3. Under your account create profiles for your athlete(s). Claim existing athlete profiles IF NEEDED (you can manage multiple under one account)

4. From your dashboard, click GO TO MEMBERSHIP

5. Choose to purchase or renew

6. Select membership type:

   • Limited ($20) For local/state Folkstyle events only -November to February season

   • Full ($65) Year-round wrestling (Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco) -March to May season and/or nationals

7. Complete checkout

You can add multiple athletes under one account and pay all at once.

Tournament Information

• Parents are responsible for registering their wrestler(s) for tournaments on the USAWrestling page. I will try to add links to the calendar. Ask if you need help!

• Pre-registration is often cheaper and required for some events. Most are cash only at the venue to pay.

• Some tournaments are listed on our club calendar.

• Cost: Around $20-$30 per wrestler (varies by event)

Tournament Gear:

• Required: Wrestling shoes & singlet (club or personal)

• Optional: Headgear BUT STRONGLY SUGGESTED!

2025-2026 USAW Age Divisions
